HOW TO USE
Getting Started
Before taking your temperature, be sure to
clean and disinfect
the thermometer. Decide whether you’ll use it orally, under the arm, or rectally, as each method has different timing and accuracy.
Using the Thermometer
- Press the power button and wait for a beep.
- Choose your preferred method: oral, underarm, or rectal.
Oral Measurement
Place the tip under your tongue, as far back as possible on either side. The display will flash while measuring. After about 18 seconds, the thermometer will beep four times and stop flashing, showing your result. Press the power button to turn it off.
Underarm Measurement
Gently dry your underarm with a towel. Place the tip against your skin, keeping the thermometer perpendicular to your body. Cross your arm over your chest to keep the tip covered. Measurement takes about 37 seconds. The thermometer will beep four times and stop flashing when done. Note: readings may be up to
1.0°F (0.6°C) lower
. Switch off by pressing the power button.
Rectal Measurement
Apply a water-soluble lubricant to the tip. Insert the thermometer up to
0.5” (1.25 cm)
into the rectum. Measurement takes about 10 seconds. The thermometer will beep four times and stop flashing when ready. Note: readings may be up to
1.0°F (0.6°C) higher
. Press the power button to turn off.
