For children under 2 years (under 24 lbs / 11 kg): Give 1/2 tsp (2.5 mL) every 4 to 6 hours. Do not exceed 2 tsp (10 mL) in 24 hours.
For children 2 to 5 years (24-48 lbs / 11-22 kg): Give 1 tsp (5 mL) every 4 to 6 hours. Do not give more than 4 tsp (20 mL) in 24 hours.
For children 6 to under 12 years (48-95 lbs / 22-44 kg): Give 2 to 4 tsp (10-20 mL) every 4 to 6 hours. Do not exceed 16 tsp (80 mL) in 24 hours.
