Easy Steps for Preparing the Solution
Mix the full contents of one stick with 500 mL of drinking water. Stir or shake well until the powder is fully dissolved. If drinking water is not available, you may use boiled or bottled water. Do not boil the solution after mixing. For the best taste, serve cold.
Recommended Dosage by Age Group
- Infants under 1 year: Consult a physician before use.
- Children 1 year: 50-100 mL per episode, up to 1 L in 24 hours.
- Children 2–9 years: 100-200 mL per episode, up to 1 L in 8-24 hours.
- 10 years and older: 200-400 mL per episode, or as needed.
Helpful Tips:
Start giving the solution as soon as diarrhea begins. Offer small, frequent sips (for example, 5 mL at a time), and gradually increase the amount as tolerated. If more solution is desired, it can be given as needed.
Storage Instructions:
Store powder sticks at room temperature and avoid extreme heat or cold. Once mixed, keep any unused solution in a sealed container in the refrigerator and use within 96 hours, or discard.
