Docusate Sodium Capsules USP 100 mgDirections: Adults and children 12 years and older: take 1 or 2 capsules daily ,do not take more than 2 capsules in 24 hours ,Children 6 to 11 years: take 1 capsule daily ,do not take more than 1 capsule in 24 hours ,drink lots of fluids (1 full glass or more)Warning: Do not use if you have abdominal pain nausea, fever, vomiting , with other medicines or if taking mineral oil , if on a low salt diet , longer than 7 days. Ask a doctor or pharmacist before use if you ,are allergic to docusate sodium ,are pregnant or breastfeeding
When using this product ,frequent or prolonged use may cause dependence for bowel function ,may take up to 3 days for laxative effect
Stop use and ask a doctor if ,symptoms last more than 1 week ,rectal bleeding occurs , you notice a sudden change in bowel habits that lasts more than 2 weeks. Keep out of reach of children. In case of overdose, call a Poison Control Centre or doctor immediately, even if you have no signs or symptoms.
