Teva-Loperimide 2mg is a a generic brand of Loperamide 2mg,. It is an oral anti-diarrheal agent that comes in tablet form.Dosage for Adults and Children Age 12+:
Take 2 tablets initially followed by 1 tablet after each loose bowel movement. Take up to to a maximum of 8 tablets per day.
Drink plenty of caffeine free, clear fluids.Not recommended for chidlren under 12 years of age, except on the advice of a physician.Warnings:
While diarrhea is not normally a serious condition, the patient
should contact their doctor immediately, if it is associated with high
fever or if blood is present in stools.If diarrhea does not resolve in 48 hours, patient should discontinue the medication and consult their physician.Do not exceed the recommended dose. In case of accidental overdose,
consult physician immediate or contact your Poison Control Centre.Teva-Loperamide should not be used in pregnant or nursing women, except on advice of a physician.Caution: Should not be used by pregnant or nursing women except on the advice of a physician.
